Country digitisation and cloud adoption for the public and private sector

The Middle East is experiencing a shift towards cloud computing and digitalisation supported by a wealth of ambitious mega projects that are expected to have a significant positive impact on the country’s IT services market. Organisations are no longer questioning the value proposition associated with cloud computing and network function virtualisation. The conversation has changed from “Should we do it?” to “How should we do it to get the most value?”
With this in mind, we are gathering industry thought leaders and senior decision makers from the private and public sectors at the Cloud & Network Virtualisation Middle East Forum (28-29 March 2017, Dubai, UAE) to discuss how to effectively exploit the opportunities offered by cloud and digitalisation while ensuring security, privacy and data protection.

NFV & SDN deployment in the Middle East

The Network Function Virtualisation (NFV) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) trend is making substantial progress and has gained wide support across the telecoms industry. Accordingly, telecom operators in the region are now moving into the ‘doing’ phase of SDN/NFV deployment in an effort to deliver true business agility, new digital services and revenue opportunities, supported by a strong momentum of rapid specification, global solution development and public Proof-of-Concepts.

The NFV & SDN Middle East Forum (27 March 2017, Dubai, UAE) will gather high level decision makers from leading telecom operators to network and discuss the potential of NFV & SDN and its best practices, operational readiness and deployment challenges.

The event will be in conjunction with the IEEE 1916.1 standard for SDN & NFV Performance working group meeting which is hosted in Dubai for the first time!
